Job Description:

Join KPMG’s Advisory practice and make a direct impact on cutting-edge variable compensation solutions that drive business success for our clients. This resource will perform day-to-day hands-on development activities, run testing activities when needed, and provide issue support and resolution. The ideal candidate will bring excellent hands-on Varicent development skills, the ability and willingness to support operational activities, as well as strong communication, organizational and time management skills.

Roles and Responsibilities: Leverage your experience with Varicent modules including Composer, Portal Access, QueryTool, and Presenter to optimize and support KPMG’s Advisory variable compensation processes. Command expertise with relational and dimensional databases and programming concepts; exhibit strong SQL query skills. Create detailed requirement documents, technical specifications, unit test plans, estimation documents, and architectural roadmaps. Efficiently diagnose and resolve issues in existing Varicent code and configurations, ensuring minimal disruption to compensation processes. Simplify technical processes and terms, making them accessible to colleagues without a technical background. Understand sales compensation business processes, providing insights that support the client-centric goals of KPMG’s Advisory practice. Drive IT methodologies including ITIL, SDLC, and Agile Development; spearhead strategies for global systems rollout, vendor selection, and implementation planning. Direct delivery by coordinating with senior leadership and ensuring excellence and integrity in all deliverables while managing risks proactively.

Required Experience: At least 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Incentive Compensation Management models and reports, including at least two full lifecycle implementations. At least 5+ years of experience using Varicent ICM modules (e.g.: Composer, Portal Access, Task Manager, QueryTool, and Presenter). At least 2+ years of experience creating controls and documentation including technical specifications, estimation documents, and architectural documents. At least 2+ years of experience building import (intra-model & query function) processes, workflow processes, calculation logic, reports and web forms. Proven expertise in Sales Performance Management and Incentive Compensation Implementation, particularly within Varicent.

Experience & Background: Coding proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Perl, Java, etc). Intermediate experience and knowledge of relational-dimensional databases / SQL / programming concepts. Intermediate to advanced experience with web technologies and design/development of webforms; JavaScript, HTML5/CSS3, Responsive Web Design; Web-API, SOAP and RESTful Web Services. Knowledge of ETL concepts and large volume data handling between systems. Knowledge of mathematical calculations to summarize and aggregate large volumes of data. Knowledge of BI / Reporting Tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy). Capability to manage and challenge senior stakeholders, with the skill to work cross-functionally. Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach, delivering results in both offshore and onshore environments. Demonstrated success in managing end-to-end delivery across digital solutions and customer experience initiatives. If Varicent experience is not available, then very strong domain experience with other Incentive Compensation or Sales Performance Management tools will be considered (e.g., Xactly, Callidus, Oracle Incentive Management, etc).

Expected Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Pay Rate Range: $115 – $140 USD per hour.
